The words came, halting, stiff. Shion cleared his throat.

“It thrills me, and yet, I hardly know what to make of this feeling, or whether I should trust it. I am, after all, undeserving of such favor.”

Shion blushed. He was clearly lying, so why- why did this man seem not to even notice?
